How To Properly Clean A Wound And When To Treat The Wound Yourself?

Wipe blood from around the wound with moistened cotton, wool swab or gauze (using tap water is fine).

You may treat the wound yourself (using adhesive closures such as bandages and plasters) if:

a. The wound is not in a sensitive area.

b. It clean and not gaping or bleeding.

c. It does not need stitching.
