A型肝炎的禍首:青蔥及香菜


最近數起A型肝炎的食品中毒事件,禍首竟然是青蔥。

青蔥最好別生吃,在顯微鏡下有好多噁心的虫虫。
沒錯,以前修microbiology 時,在顯微鏡下, 看過蔥管內有好多噁心的虫虫..蛋蛋...。

還有:香菜也是(常見大量 fungus), 而且與香菜同保存的食物也會遭到染污 ,而且更噁''''。

所以奉勸愛生吃香菜、青蔥的姊妹們,先把牠燙死再吃!

飲食衛生青蔥最好別生吃。

中國人愛吃脆皮烤鴨, 往往將脆皮烤鴨肉包著生的青蔥段裹著甜麵醬吃; 吃炒米粉、貢丸湯、肉羹湯、麵湯、餛飩湯、火鍋料理、 燒烤料理及魚肉料理時,也免不了要來點兒青蔥花提味。

中國人生吃青蔥的機會實在太多了, 麵攤、火鍋店,各個餐廳? VIP房裡索性就擺一大碗青蔥花,讓消費者自行取用, 但是,愛吃青蔥花的人在下箸前可得三思了, 因為美國食品藥物管理局日前呼籲消費者注意, 最近數起 A型肝炎的食品中毒事件,禍首竟然是青蔥。

A型肝炎病毒是一種肝臟疾病, 通常在感染A型肝炎病毒六週後會有症狀, 輕微者是發燒、腹瀉、噁心、嘔吐、無食慾、腹痛、 疲倦、皮膚變黃。嚴重者則引發為肝臟疾病。

美國食品藥物管理局建議消費者應將青蔥放入鍋中加蓋完全煮熟,或在烹煮魚、肉類或其他料理放入青蔥時,也應將青蔥完全煮熟後再吃, 以降低罹患 A型肝炎的風險。

Air out your car before turning on air conditioner


According to research done by a U.C., the car dashboard, sofa, air freshener will emit Benzene, a cancer causing toxin (carcinogen). In addition to causing cancer, it poisons your bones, causes anemia, and reduces white blood cells. Prolonged exposure will cause Leukemia, increasing the risk of cancer. May also cause miscarriage.


Acceptable Benezene level indoors is 50 mg per sq. ft. A car parked indoors with the windows closed will contain 400-800 mg of Benezene. If parked outdoors under the sun at a temperature above 60 degrees F, the Benezene level goes up to 2000-4000 mg, 40 times the acceptable level. The people inside the car will inevitably inhale an excess amount of the toxin.


It is recommended that you open the windows and door to give time for the interior to air out before you enter. Benzene is a toxin that affects your kidney and liver, and is difficult for your body to expel.

自然抗癌法


隔夜的疲勞最傷身
雖然睡了很長一段時間,但早晨還是起不來,頭昏腦脹的,這就表示前一天的疲勞還沒完全的清除。要想活得久、還要活得好,一定要記得「今天的疲勞, 今天消除」!針對身體不同器官不同部位,消除疲勞各有方法,但就整體來說, 排便和脹氣,是非常基本又重要的兩件大事。
每天都要上廁所
就健康管理而言,「排便」是一件很重要的體內「信息」。如果不把體內廢物排除,身體就不能充分攝取新的食物,所以在廁所內看報紙、雜誌和抽菸是最要不得的。莊博士曾針對罹患肺癌和大腸癌的患者做過調查,有在排便時抽菸看書報習慣的,佔了壓倒性的多數。
不在體內堆廢氣
莊博士所注重的是放屁和打嗝等體內脹氣。所謂「體內脹氣」就是指因消化活動、基礎代謝等產生的廢物,以及經由呼吸道進入體內的空氣。脹氣在一定程度下是沒有什麼問題的,但如果是由不規則生活或偏差的飲食生活及壓力,使消化活動減退,而產生大量的廢氣,那麼,想把廢氣排出體外就會變得不順利了。莊博士過去在醫院服務時,曾診察過八位被認為很健康、卻在睡眠中驟死的「暴卒病」患者,解剖時都發現他們的胃囊異常膨脹,再追蹤他們生前的生活習性,發現他們長年累月不吃早餐,因為工作忙碌,午餐也不能慢慢吃,一天的營養都靠晚餐來補給,以致
大吃大喝後很快就去睡。而人在熟睡中,吃下的食物卻吸收了胃液和水分而膨脹、發酵,產生的廢氣使胃鼓脹,壓迫肺或心臟,才導致「暴卒病」的發作。所以避免在睡前暴飲暴食,不要製造和堆積廢氣在體內,是保有健康很重要的一步。

晚餐前洗澡消疲勞
莊博士指出,洗澡能暖和身體,促進血液循環,改善大腸蠕動,排出體內廢氣,對消除疲勞很有幫助,她並建議「最好在晚餐前入浴」。入浴前若是肚子很餓,不妨先慢慢的喝下一杯蔬菜汁或果汁,稍微休息一下,再去洗澡。如果一定要在飯後洗澡,最好能在兩小時後再入浴。因為要消化吃下去的食物,血液會集中在消化器官,如果馬上洗澡,血液就會擴散到全身,妨礙腸胃的功能,造成廢氣滯留體內,有時會壓迫到心臟,是很危險的。

莊博士建議的入浴方法是「三段式入浴法」
首先浸泡到膝蓋以下三分鐘,雙手及兩肘可放入水中,按摩腳踝;然後坐下,讓水淹過肚臍,大約浸泡三分鐘;最後全身坐入浴缸,依照各人喜好浸泡。至於洗澡水的溫度,以在攝氏41至43度的水溫中沐浴,最能消除疲勞。平均來說,入浴時間以10至20分鐘最理想。

Be aware of your own breasts


Start routine breast self examinations as early as 20 years of age especially if you have a family history of breast cancer (grandmother, mother, aunt, sister). You need to examine your breasts two to three days after the end of your period every month. Look out for:
-Lumps or any change in breast size or shape
-Swelling, redness and warmth or dimpling of the skin
-Nipple discharge
-Pain that isn’t related to your menstrual cycle

For the correct technique on how to do a breast self examination, do consult your doctor or you can get tips from the Breast Cancer Welfare Association at (+603-7949 2093).

Choosing a doctor whom you are comfortable with
Women must see their family doctor or gynaecologist regularly, at least once a year for all important PAP smear and breast examination. Early detection of gynaecological related cancers can save your life. The choice of a male or female doctor is entirely up to you- most importantly, he or she must make you feel comfortable.

When you do visit your doctor be sure be enquire about which test you should do (depending on your age, risk factors, family history etc).

What is a urinary tract infection (UTI) and what causes it?



Urinary tract infection is the term given to an infection in any part of the urinary system. UTI occurs when part of the urinary tract becomes infected, usually with bacteria, and is common in women who are sexually active. The most common type of UTI is known as cystitis (inflammation of the bladder). It has been estimated that one third of women experience the symptoms of cystitis at some point in their life.

What are its symptoms?
When you have a UTI, the bladder and the lining of the urethra become red and inflamed. Common symptoms related to UTIs may include:

- A burning sensation or lower abdominal discomfort when you pass urine.
- Needing to urinate urgently.
- Passing urine much more frequently than usual
- “Leaking” urine.
- Feeling an urge to urinate, but being unable to or only passing a few drops.
- Foul smelling urine.
- Urine that is cloudy, bloody or dark.
- Having a temperature.

You can do your part to prevent UTIs by:

- Drinking lots of water.
- Urinating as soon as you feel the need- don’t hold it.
- Make sure you have adequate lubrication during sex, and urinate after having sex.
- Take vitamin C or cranberry juice- they are said to be urinary antiseptics.
- Keep your intimate area clean and dry because dampness promotes bacterial growth.
- Try using panty liners with antibacterial properties.
- Cleanse your intimate area daily with a mild a pH-balanced solution.

有效的消滅癌細胞


在弱鹼性體質的狀態下,癌細胞是無法生長、甚至是無法生存的。

三十多年前有一位服務於公賣局台北啤酒廠的張先生,參加該啤酒場選派技術人員到國外深造的考試,以優異的成績及格。 在出國前經某公立醫院體檢發現,罹患有像小孩拳頭大小的肺部腫瘤,因而不能出國。


張先生非常失望之餘,一直懷疑診斷有誤;於是再到另一家醫院檢查,結果還是證實原來的診斷並無錯誤。

當時年輕力壯的張先生得到這樣的絕症,在人生絕望之餘,多次打電話給當時任職台東縣政府黃順興縣長機要秘書的魏姓同學。

魏姓同學便利用星期日趕到台北和張先生見面, 張先生向魏同學詳述相關絕望的詳情和悲觀感受,並請位同學協助其後事,恰逢魏同學與前任馬偕醫院院長1949-55年專精於癌症臨床研究的呂革令博士係知交好友。

當即建議前往訪求呂博士醫治,起初張先生說不願再看醫生,以免徒增傷悲; 但魏同學說先前已以電話請教過呂博士並安排好時間,張先生只好偕同前往呂博士住處造訪。

呂博士和張先生見面就說:「魏先生是我的好友,介紹你和我認識是我們緣份,感謝。我請教你:『癌為什麼叫絕症,你可知道嗎?』」

張先生和魏先生都不知道如何作答。

呂博士又說:「人類醫治癌症到目前為止只有兩條路,第一條路是消滅病源,第二條路是增加抵抗力。 但很奇怪的是,癌無論用鈷60或其他藥物去消滅癌細胞,可是癌細胞還沒被消滅,好的細胞卻先被殺死。另無論用什麼營養、補藥,好的細胞還未吸收,癌細胞卻先吸收、讓癌長得更快; 因此可說上述兩條路都行不通、所以叫絕症。」

呂博士又說:「人類的聰明連登陸月球也都已經成功,但為什麼沒有人去懷疑上述兩條治癌的路是在鑽牛角尖,另外找第三條路? 我以往在馬偕醫院做癌症临床實驗,並得院內各部同仁協助的機會,我發現癌症病人血液檢查的結果百分之百都是酸性反應。長期素食、且生活接近自然的佛寺僧尼,由於體質都偏屬優質弱鹼性,所以尚沒有發現罹患癌症的病例。因此我大膽的斷定在弱鹼性體質的狀態下,癌細胞是無法生長、甚至是無法生存的。 張先生我建議你從現在起少吃酸性的葷食類, 多吃鹼性食物,另外可吃綠藻和帶殼菱角湯, 改變你的體質,並勵行接近自然的良好生活規律; 如果五年內不死、你就沒問題了,祝福你。」

張先生依照呂博士的建議,認真改變吃的習慣, 每天又吃綠藻、喝菱角湯,樂觀加上每天適當的運動,一年後再到同一公立醫院檢查結果,發現腫瘤不但沒有長大、反而已呈現萎縮狀態,遂令醫院檢查人員驚為奇蹟,五年後竟完全處於萎縮、至近於消失狀態。

經過了將近四十年歲月,現在張先生的健康情況完全正常,生活起居甚為愉快。

繼張先生之後,有位前台東省立醫院總務課長陳添壽先生,同樣得到肺癌; 魏先生得知後將張先生的經過轉告陳添壽先生,陳先生乃依照呂博士的建議進行改變體質,結果與張先生同樣癒癌症。

那時呂博士全家已移民美國,事後呂博士回來台灣再與魏先生見面時 魏先生將張先生和陳先生的經過告訴呂博士,並提議由他們倆位親自向呂博士陳述,請呂博士發表其改變體質之自療成果報告。

呂博士謙虛地回答說:
我年事已大,且沒有臨床紀錄不能做為成果。請魏先生轉告親友,如果友人認同的話,請他們繼續做體驗並廣為宣導。」


關心自己也要關心別人,85﹪癌症病患屬於酸性體質

* 健康人的血液是成弱鹼性的,約是pH7.35~7.45左右

* 嬰兒也是屬於弱鹼性的體質
* 成長期的成人有體質酸化的現象


根據一項六百位癌症病人體液分佈的研究,顯示85﹪癌症病患屬於酸性體質。

因此,如何使體質維持在弱鹼性就是遠離疾病的第一步。


酸性體質的生理表徵

1.皮膚無光澤。

2.香港腳。

3. 稍做運動即感疲勞,一上公車便想睡覺。

4.上下樓梯容易氣喘。

5.肥胖、下腹突出。

6. 步伐緩慢、動作遲緩。


為什麼會形成酸性體質?

1. 過度攝取乳酸性食品

a) 肉類、乳酪製品與蛋、牛肉、火腿等皆屬於酸性食品。

b)攝取過量的酸性食品血液會傾向酸性而變黏稠,不易流到細血管的末稍,而易造成手腳或膝蓋的冷寒症,以及肩膀僵硬和失眠等。

c) 年輕力壯時吃適量的肉類是對的,但老年人則以蔬菜或小魚為宜。


2. 生活步調失常會造成酸性體質

a) 生活步調失常會造成精神與肉體的壓力。

b) 據統計,晚睡者罹患癌症的機率比正常人高出五倍。

c) 人類本來就活在節奏的世界裡,無法事先儲備睡眠或飲食,也不能日夜顛倒。

d)人體內臟受自律神經控制,白天主要是交感神經活動,晚上則由副交感神經工作,若使其錯亂及倒置,就亦百病滋生。


3. 情緒過於緊張

a) 文明社會會造成的壓力。

b) 工作上或精神上的壓力。

c) 當一個人承受精神壓力後,一旦緊張鬆弛,時會造成猝死,稱為潛在性副腎皮質機能不全症。

4. 肉體的緊張

a)動手術之前應先檢查腎上腺皮質機能是否正常。如果副腎皮質機能較差,或手術壓力遠超過副腎調整功能,則可能造成病人死亡或其他不良影響。

b) 若發現病患臉部浮腫,需詳加詢問病史及服藥狀況,為長期服用腎上腺皮質賀爾蒙者,施以針灸要特別注意反應。

c) 勞動或運動過度,通宵打牌、開車等壓力都應盡量避免。

* 附錄:常見食物的酸鹼性

1.強酸性食品:蛋黃、乳酪、白糖做的西點或柿子、烏魚子、柴魚等。

2.中酸性食品:火腿、培根、雞肉、鮪魚、豬肉、鰻魚、牛肉、麵包、小麥、奶油、馬肉等。

3.弱酸性食品:白米、落花生、啤酒、酒、油炸豆腐、海苔、文蛤、章魚、泥鰍。

4.弱鹼性食品:紅豆、蘿蔔、蘋果、甘藍菜、洋蔥、豆腐等。

5.中鹼性食品:蘿蔔乾、大豆、紅蘿蔔、蕃茄、香蕉、橘子、南瓜、草莓、蛋白、梅乾、檸檬、菠菜等。

6. 強鹼性食品:葡萄、茶葉、葡萄酒、海帶芽、海帶等。尤其是天然綠藻富含葉綠素,是不錯的鹼性健康食品,而茶類不宜過量,最佳飲用時間為早上。

水果的功效

草莓
吃草莓能培养耐心,因为它属于低矮草茎植物,生长过程中易受污染,因此,吃之前要经过耐心清洗:先摘掉叶子,在流水下冲洗,随后用盐水浸泡 5~ 10 分钟,最后再用凉开水浸泡 1~ 2 分钟。之后,你才可以将这粒营养丰富的 "活维生素丸 "吃下。

葡萄
葡萄特别适合 "懒惰 " 的人吃,因为最健康的吃法是 "不剥皮、不吐籽 "。葡萄皮和葡萄籽比葡萄肉更有营养。红葡萄酒之所以比白葡萄酒拥有更好的保健功效,就是因为它连皮一起酿造。而法国波尔多大学的研究人员也发现,葡萄籽中含量丰富的增强免疫、延缓衰老物质,进入人体后有 85%被吸收利用。


梨是令人生机勃勃、精力十足的水果。它水分充足,富含维生素 a、 b 、c 、 d 、e 和微量元素碘,能维持细胞组织的健康状态,帮助器官排毒、净化,还能软化血管,促使血液将更多的钙质运送到骨骼。但吃梨时一定要细嚼慢咽才能较好的吸收。

柚子
柚子是保证人体健康,使心血管系统健康运转的水果。它含有的果胶能降低低密度脂蛋白,减轻动脉血管壁的损伤,维护血管功能,预防动脉硬化和心脏病。研究者还发现吃 8只柚子能明显促进运动中受伤的组织器官恢复健康。

苹果
每天吃少量的苹果就能预防多种疾病,还让人有饱腹感,不愧是水果中最务实的。美国癌症研究中心特别建议人们常吃苹果来预防癌症,因为其中含量丰富的 phytochemical天然抗氧化剂能够有效消除自由基,降低癌症发生率。

番茄
乃是特具茄红素的超级食物,可抑制体内自由基的产生,防止细胞病变,并且富含柠檬酸与苹果酸,能清热解毒、保肝利尿,对改善宿醉十分有效。


柠檬
柠檬含有 "黄酮类 " ,可杀灭多种病原菌,并且富含柠檬酸及柠檬油精,有助于增加肝脏的酵素含量,加速分解致癌的化学物质,清除积存于肝脏内的杂质与毒素。

西瓜
西瓜饱含水分与果糖、多种维生素、矿物质及胺基酸,除了改善中暑发烧、汗多口渴、小便量少、尿色深黄外,有口腔炎、便血、酒精中毒者均适宜多吃,疗效显著。

杨桃
中医认为杨桃具有清热解毒、生津利尿的功效,适用于风热咳嗽、牙痛、口腔溃疡、尿道结石、酒精中毒、小便不利等症,尤其对正进行放射治疗的癌症病人,多吃杨桃有防护黏膜损伤的疗效,但肾功能异常者千万不可吃。
猕猴桃
营养丰富,不但可补充人体营养,还可防止致癌物质亚硝胺在体内生成;另外有降低胆固醇及甘油三脂的作用。

荔枝
有生津、益智、促气养颜作用,常吃补脾益肝悦颜,生血、养心神,祖国医学认为:常食荔枝可使人百色红润,身体健康。

桑椹
分为黑、白两种,均可食用。味甘性寒、补肝益肾、滋阴养血、黑发明目。

龙眼
龙眼味甜,主要功效可开胃益脾,养血安神,补虚长智,在《神农本草经》望还说可怕五脏邪气,厌食、除虫毒等等。

菠萝
菠萝的果肉中含有一种独特的酶,能分解蛋白质。因此,若是吃了大量肉类菜肴后,再嚼上几片鲜菠萝,对消化吸收帮助很好。

榴莲
含有丰富的蛋白质和脂类,对机体有很好的补养作用,是良好的果品类营养来源。 榴莲有特殊的气味,不同的人感受不同,有的人认为其臭如猫屎,有的人认为香气馥郁。榴莲的这种气味有开胃、促进食欲之功效,其中的膳食纤维还能促进肠蠕动。


火龙果
营养丰富,功用独特,对人体健康有绝佳的功效。它含有一般植物少有的植物性白蛋白及花青素、丰富的维生素和水溶性膳食纤维。白蛋白是具黏性、胶质性的物质,对重金属中毒具有解毒的功效。

桃子
性温,味甘酸,能消暑止渴、清热润肺,有 "肺之果 " 之称,适宜肺病患者食用。桃子果实营养丰富,尤其铁的含量较丰富,是缺铁贫血患者的理想食疗佳果。此外,桃子含钾多,含钠少,适宜水肿患者食。炎夏食桃,可养阴生津,润肠燥。

Dealing with vaginal discharge


The amount of normal discharge varies from woman to woman, and with the menstrual cycle. Many women notice that, during the week following a period, there is hardly any discharge, and what there is, has a thick consistency. Towards the middle the cycle (about 2 weeks after the start of the period) the amount increases and it becomes thin, slippery and clear, like uncooked egg white. There may also be a feeling of moistness and stickiness. Normal discharge does not smell, and does not cause any irritation or itching.

What’s not normal
1. A discharge is likely to be abnormal if:

2. It smells fishy.

3. It is thick and white, like cottage cheese.

4. It is greenish and smells foul.

5. There is blood in it (except when you have a period)

6. It is itchy

7. You have any genital sores or ulcers

8. You have abnormal pain or pain on intercourse

9. It started soon after you had unprotected sex with someone you suspect could have a sexually transmitted infection/ disease. (STD)


What to do if you have vaginal discharge

1. For any vaginal problem, you must take care to avoid substances that may cause more irritation.

2. During a period, change tampons or sanitary pads frequently (at least two or three times a day).

3. Talk to your partner. Ask if he has any discharge from the urethra (the opening at the end of the penis) or any soreness or irritation of the penis. If his answer is ‘yes’, or if there is any reason to think that he might have a sexually transmitted infection, he should go to a doctor for a check-up. Do not have sex until the problem has been sorted out.
4. If your discharge is thick and white and itchy, it may be thrust, so you could try an anti-thrush cream or tablet from a pharmacist. Do not persist with an anti-thrust cream from the pharmacist if the problem does not resolve within a day or two. Make an appointment to see your family doctor and have the problem cleared up.

Perilous Printer?


The source of this article is from Reader’s Digest, December 2007, written by Patricia Curtis.

Maybe the content of it explains why there is high percentage people nowadays are suffers from cancer disease. In my opinion, it has got to do with the modern living environment from one’s home and office.

If you are working in the office environment and sits near to laser printer, laser facsimile, digital copier and other office automation equipments that consume toner, you may already expose yourself to the risk that caused health problem.

Suggestions:
Put some potted plants around the printers.
Keep distance between the printers with workstations.
Instead of owning laser facsimile, printer and copier, get the all-in-one multi function printer, for example Canon MF4150, MF4270 (network ready), etc.

I thought paper jams were a pain, but your printer may actually affect your health: An Australian study looked at 62 office laser printers in constant use and found that 17 emitted high levels of ultra fine particles into the air. Long documents and dense photos are the worst offenders. The particles are the same size as those from cigarette smoke and car exhaust and can get into your lungs, says coauthor Lidia Morawska, PhD.

But don’t panic, says Rich Sextro, PhD, of the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. “Candles and cooking also produce similar particles, but we really don’t understand the health effects of ultra fine particle inhalation.” If anything, the flecks have been linked to respiratory problems, but we don’t know if it’s the composition of the particles, the amount or something else that causes problems. “Would I throw away my laser printer? I think the answer is no. Would I make sure I didn’t have one that got used a lot in a small room without much ventilation? Yes, I’d probably pay attention to that. But more research is needed, so it’s way to early to worry.”

In any case, printers emit particles only when they spit out pages. To be safe, move yours to a ventilated area.

Belly dancing to fitness


There is something exotic and sensual about belly dancing. Considered one of the oldest forms of social dance in the world, it is now one of the fun ways to get good workout.

Belly dancing provides you a good cardiovascular workout. You can increase your body’s flexibility and strengthen the ‘core muscles’, which is the torso.

Belly dance also emphasizes muscular ‘isolations’: you gain ability to move various muscles independently. Apart from the torso, you can build strength in your legs from the movements you make and also work the arms, shoulders and fingers while you sway.

As a form of exercise, belly dancing can burn as many calories as jogging, swimming or riding a bike. You also have fun doing it especially when there is exotic music playing in the background.

Belly dancing is less strenuous on the body and definitely more entertaining as compared to lifting weights or sitting on a bike.

If you seriously follow the proper techniques and practice belly dance, you will gain really toned muscles, especially in the tummy area. It will give you great hips, protect your inner organs and slim down the gut and tummy.
